Gabion Basket
Gabion baskets are wire mesh boxes, containers, or baskets filled with rocks, serving the purpose of preventing soil erosion and retaining/containing soil particles. Gabions are commonly used in conjunction with geotextiles to reduce water velocities and capture sediment in riverbeds and streams.
